ANZCNS Travel Bursaries

ANZCNS Travel Bursaries

ANZCNS are pleased to be able to offer some financial assistance towards the cost of attending the Joint 12th ICNC / 11th AOCCN for a limited number of members of ANZCNS, AOCNA and ICNA.

Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must be members of ANZCNS, ICNA or AOCNA, have an abstract submitted for platform or poster presentation and meet one of the follow criteria:

  • Trainee in the field of Paediatrics Neurology for a minimum period of 12 months with the intention to continue in a career in Paediatric Neurology; or
  • Studying for a Research Degree (PhD or other) in a Neurosciences field; or
  • Delegate working in clinical practice in the field of Paediatric Neurology for a minimum of 12 months intending to continue a career in Paediatric Neurology and attending from a low income country, designated by the world bank as having a GNI at less than $3,946.

Payment of the ANZCNS Travel Bursary is subject to the following:

  • The ANZCNS travel bursary will be paid towards the costs of attending for the Joint 12th ICNC / 11th AOCCN and only towards the costs of registration fees, travel costs and accommodation directly related to the Joint Congress.
  • Payment will be made after receipts and proof of payment have been furnished for costs of attending the Joint Congress, a maximum payment of $2500 will apply.
  • Payment will only be made after the successful applicant has registered for the congress and payment will be conditional on the applicant attending, payment will be refunded to ANZCNS if there is a non-attendance.
  • Payment is conditional upon acceptance of an abstract for platform or poster presentation.
  • Payment is on the understanding that the applicant is not receiving funding from any other source towards the costs of attending the Joint Congress.
